Leaguewide Announcements and Information for Parents
Important Parent Information 1/19/12 The following individuals are the only people who have permission to park in the Snack Bar's parking Lot. They will have an AJF parking pass displayed on their dashboard: Upcoming Events: Festival of Lights Competition: Airlanes will again this year be attending the Festival of Lights in 2011. The competition is to be held the weekend of December 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. Good luck ladies! Airlanes Leaguewide Notes: Snack Bar Parents, if you have signed up to work a particular game on a particular date, please honor your committment. Airlanes schedules it's volunteers so that you will be free to see your child's game, but due to the tightness of the game scheduling, we simply do not have the time to keep trying to track down those who have already signed up. The alternative is to shut the snack bar down completely, which would hurt all of us. So please, report for your shift on time. Chain Crew Airlanes is always in need of parents to assist the on-field officials by carrying the chains and the down marker. If you would like to volunteer for your child's game, (or any of our home games) please see your Coach or Team Manager. Trust us...it's the best view in the house! Stiglemeir Park Remember this is our town park. Please follow the rules that are posted. Do not park in places that are marked no parking. (Specifically, the Snack Bar side!) Please be respectful to other park patrons, especially those who are walking. Also, if a park Ranger approaches you, remember, they are just doing their job. Everyone's safety is their primary concern, so please follow their direction. Try to remember we represent AIRLANES, so let’s show everyone that we are the best organization around, by being courteous and respectful to others even though it may be difficult at times. If you have a problem, please see one of the executive board members or President Frank Szefler for investigation. Parking-Important! Parents, please, DO NOT park on the field side of the street in Losson Park. The men in the green town trucks will call CPD and have your car ticketed and possibly towed. We as an organization do not want to see this happen to anyone...especially members of the Airlanes family, most of whom are residents of our own town. As always on gameday, the main lot is reserved for Executive Board Members, Head Coaches, Officials, Paramedics, and Handicapped. Scoreboard Through the years, we have run the scoreboard on and off. What Airlanes needs, are dedicated individuals to run it, even though the referees keep the official game time. This year, we will be making a list of people who would like to run the scoreboard, so if anyone is interested, please let either a coach or a board member know. Sound System We try to announce the girls and boys between each game, but because of the time constraints, sometimes it’s simply not possible. Again this fall, we would like to have someone from each team to announce the girls and boys before each game when time allows. Please let your head coach know if you’re interested. Comment Box There is a mailbox on the side of the snack bar. If you have any comments (positive or negative), you can put them in there at any time. President Frank Szefler does check it regularly and is the only person who has a key. Please understand all correspondence is strictly confidential. Please put your team name on any comments so he can investigate the problem and take care of it.
